The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for assisting in improving the productivity of NBC's associates. This position works with the Learning & Development Director in conjunction with leadership to assess organization-wide development needs. These findings will drive initiatives and arrange for suitable training solutions for associates. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and evaluate impact of the training. This position will be required to conduct in-house and virtual training. Assures compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training needs assessments and identify learning opportunities.
• Support development and maintenance of the annual training calendar.
• Create, update, and deliver training materials, guides, and resources.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual training programs, workshops, and onboarding sessions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Develop and maintain role-specific training and onboarding programs.
• Partner with stakeholders to train employees on policies, procedures, and business processes.
• Provide ongoing training and support on company systems, products, and customer service standards.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), training records, and course assignments.
• Ensure access to learning resources, training systems, and development opportunities.
• Support employee development initiatives, training events, and special projects.
• Collaborate with leadership, HR, and Learning & Development teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Promote company culture, values, and continuous learning.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience.
• 1+ year in a training or coaching environment.
• 3+ years in a banking position.
• Training certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills both in person and virtual.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to exercise sound judgement, work independently and confidently make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of instructional design, theory and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to the position and job responsibilities.
• Adequate knowledge of learning management systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Microsoft Co-Pilot.
• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.60 to $35.40 per hour. This pay range is contingent on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
