Salary: $17.75/Hour Minimum Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): Teamsters Contract Report Times: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Daily Hours: 8.5 (8 Paid) Work Year: 12 month Supervisor: Director of Facility Operations Civil Service Title: Custodial Assistant (Non-Competitive) Minimum Requirements One year paid full-time experience (or equivalent) in building cleaning work Desired Qualifications Working knowledge of building cleaning procedures, materials and equipment Working knowledge of cleaning agents and proper applications Ability to follow oral and written instructions One year paid full-time experience (or equivalent) in building cleaning work Ability to complete cleaning tasks, move boxes and furniture, operate machinery used to maintain floors Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position Daily attendance is expected Position Summary/Responsibilities Wash, clean, dust, sanitize, mop, vacuum, and perform minor repairs within the school building Collects and disposes of trash throughout assigned area of the building Alerts Custodians of problems as they arise, communicates all issues Prepares work orders for work to be scheduled Monitors cleaner assignments as needed Performs routine checks on heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems Assists as needed throughout the building Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Contact Name: Ricky Van Epps Title: Custodial Foreman Email: View email address on click.appcast.io All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYSED before employment begins.
