Sr. Facility Technician

Role Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Technician – Full‑time on‑site hourly position (Monday‑Friday 7:00 am‑3:30 pm). Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant facility equipment autonomously. Maintain facilities in a safe and clean condition, ensuring availability for use. Handle complex and time‑critical mechanical/electrical equipment rebuilds, repairs, and upgrades; manage and escort contractors/vendors. Propose improvements to processes and methods. Support or own work orders for equipment activities. Maintain detailed inventory of spare parts for all assets and ensure parts are on hand for critical equipment. Analyze equipment schematics to identify replacement part numbers and submit purchase requests for emergency spare parts. Act as a lead coordinator, coaching and mentoring new technicians (not a supervisor). Other duties as assigned. Candidate Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience. Advanced electrical and/or mechanical skills and education. Technical certificate or higher preferred. Highly skilled or certified in at least one trade preferred; advanced machine shop and hand tools experience preferred. Proficient with computers to complete and manage electronic work orders. Ability to read and understand English‑written job instructions and safety requirements. Must be able to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (no lifting greater than 40 pounds without assistance).
