Maintenance Technician

Position Summary As a member of the Facility Services team, the Maintenance Technician will work to maintain the safe and efficient operation of building systems and the appearance of the facilities. Shift Wednesday through Friday 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Key Areas of Responsibility Light repair and maintenance of building equipment, including doors, floors, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, roofs, irrigation, locks, and keys. Assist or perform inspections, conduct periodic general preventive maintenance, and operate building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems. Fill out daily equipment logs and perform visual inspections of all building mechanical and life safety equipment to ensure normal operation. Respond to, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders via the Workspeed work order tracking system. Coordinate daily with tenants, customers, and building visitors. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and practice safe work habits. Maintain a courteous, neat, clean appearance and represent the company professionally. Provide team support and coverage as needed. Education, Experience and Skills Required Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial office environment. Basic knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in commercial building general or light maintenance. Proficiency in using a personal computer and handheld communication device. Ability to interact positively and professionally with co‑workers, tenants, contractors, and the general public. Ability to prioritize workload. Current valid driver’s license required. Availability for on‑call duty during weekends and after hours for scheduled or emergency maintenance. Physical Demand Requirements Climb stairs and ladders; stand all day. Access remote work areas such as crawl spaces and roofs. Full manual dexterity for tasks including sitting, squatting, bending, crawling, kneeling, lifting, walking, and manipulating tools. Work indoors 80% and outdoors 20% of the time. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in hazardous environments, and operate in all types of weather. Other Requirements Valid driver’s license preferred. Will be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends to ensure coverage. Benefits/Perks Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
