Summary:

As a Junior Staff Accountant, you'll support the daily accounting operations across multiple affiliated companies while collaborating with the Accounting Manager, CFO, and accounting team.

Responsibilities include:

• Post and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Assist with daily check deposits.
• Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports.
• Track and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Compile monthly sales, cost of sales, expenses, and financial reports.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Analyze General Ledger accounts and prepare supporting schedules.
• Process monthly showroom commissions.
• Prepare Sales & Use Tax returns.
• Support Accounts Payable functions.
• Assist with intercompany accounting transactions.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
• Assist with incoming phone calls and direct callers as needed.
• Support special projects and additional duties assigned by the Accounting Manager or CFO.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Inventory accounting experience is required
• Experience working with ERP accounting software is required
• Intercompany accounting experience is a strong plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Working knowledge of GAAP
