RN - PCU

RN PCU - Weekends Only

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 36 hours, Nights, Weekends Only

Job Description: Seeking an experienced RN for a PCU position, primarily working weekend nights. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac drip experience and be available to float to similar units as required. Candidates must be capable of managing critical patients and demonstrating proficiency with the EPIC electronic health record system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and care planning.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS Certification
• 3 years of recent experience as a PCU RN in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility
• Experience with cardiac drips is essential
