Key Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, bone, grind, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meats according to quality standards.
- Wrap, weigh, label, price, and display meat products in an organized and attractive manner.
- Prepare custom meat orders and assist customers with product recommendations and cut selections.
- Receive, inspect, rotate, and properly store incoming meat deliveries to maintain freshness and food safety.
- Follow sanitation, cleanliness, and food handling procedures throughout the meat department.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient daily operations and an excellent customer experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Cut, trim, bone, grind, and prepare a variety of meats for retail and customer orders.
- Prepare custom meat orders while delivering knowledgeable customer service.
- Maintain meat displays, product quality, inventory handling, and sanitation standards.
- Support daily meat department operations in a fast-paced food service environment.

- Previous experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred based on the level of the role.
- Fluent Spanish is required.
- Conversational English is required.
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and different cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and other meats.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and product presentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift meat products as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a gourmet market, specialty food store, butcher shop, restaurant, or high-quality retail meat department.
- Familiarity with premium meats, specialty cuts, and customer-facing meat counter service.
- Ability to assist with inventory monitoring, product rotation, and ordering support.
- Strong interest in continuing to learn from experienced butchers and grow within the food service industry.
