Job Opportunity: Journeyman Carpenter

Location: Snohomish County, WA

Pay: $32-40/hr DOE.

Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 40+ hrs per week

About the Role

We are hiring experienced  Journeyman Carpenters to support upcoming  commercial and residential construction projects throughout Snohomish Count y , WA .

This position is ideal for skilled carpenters with experience in new construction, remodeling, tenant improvements, Concrete tilt-up, and general carpentry work. We are looking for dependable professionals who take pride in quality craftsmanship, safety, and completing projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential and/or commercial carpentry work including framing, layout, and installation
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
• Complete new construction, remodels, tenant improvements, restoration, and repair work
• Perform rough and/or finish carpentry tasks as needed
• Install doors, windows, trim, cabinets, walls, ceilings, and other building components
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
• Perform framing, blocking, layout, and structural carpentry work
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work with project teams to meet schedules and quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
• Experience with commercial and/or residential construction
• Strong knowledge of carpentry methods and construction practices
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings
• Experience with framing, finish carpentry, and general construction tasks
• Reliable transportation
• Basic hand tools and tool belt
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship

• How many years of journeyman-level carpentry and construction experience do you have, and what positions or roles have you held?
• Do you have experience working on commercial or industrial construction projects?
  • If yes, briefly describe the types of projects you have worked on and your primary responsibilities.

  • Please include experience with framing, layout, finish carpentry, concrete/form work, drywall, demolition, measuring, cutting, material handling, and installation.
• What hand and power tools  are you  experienced with and regularly use?

• Do you have experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction drawings?
• Do you have experience performing layout and taking accurate measurements on commercial jobsites?

• Do you currently own the tools required for journeyman carpentry work?
  • Please provide a brief list of your regularly used personal tools.
• Do you have the required commercial jobsite PPE?  Please confirm you have a hard hat, work boots, work pants/jeans, work gloves, safety glasses, and a high-visibility vest.
• Do you have reliable transportation to and from job sites throughout Snohomish County, WA?
• Are you comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding construction work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods?
• Are you comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated work areas when properly trained and authorized?
• Are you experienced in leading or mentoring apprentices and less-experienced carpenters on the jobsite?
• Are you comfortable taking direction from foremen and superintendents while also working independently and making sound decisions within your area of responsibility?
• Do you have experience coordinating with other trades and working as part of a commercial construction crew?
• Do you have any relevant construction certifications or training?
• How soon are you available to start?
