Search Solution Group is seeking an Inside Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a supplier of small-quantity metals. This contract opportunity is ideal for a customer-focused sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships while delivering exceptional service.

The Contract Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales through consultative selling, managing customer inquiries across multiple channels, preparing quotes, processing orders, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and passionate about helping customers find the right products while contributing to the company's sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative sales and exceptional service.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate metal products, cutting solutions, and value-added services.
• Assist a diverse customer base, including trade professionals, manufacturers, and do-it-yourself customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, eCommerce platforms, and online quote requests.
• Prepare accurate quotes, pricing, and sales proposals while following up to close opportunities.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within the company's ERP system.
• Enter and maintain customer information, product specifications, payment details, and order requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel, drivers, supervisors, and sales team members to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Monitor margins, inventory, and sales opportunities to support company profitability.
• Resolve customer concerns by providing timely, solution-oriented service.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
• Consistently work toward achieving individual and team sales goals.

Requirements Include

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, retail sales, or inside sales experience.
• Experience supporting B2B customers is preferred.
• Experience preparing sales quotes and processing customer orders.
• Experience using ERP or CRM systems is a plus.
• Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, building materials, or metal products is beneficial.
