Role Overview The Housekeeping Inspector reviews and inspects housekeeping and designated areas to ensure a positive guest experience, focusing on detail and guest impact relative to property standards. Ability to supervise and work with employees. Ability and willingness to respond to emergencies. Tact and resourcefulness in dealing with the public. Responsibilities Inspect rooms, verify that designated areas exceed the standard, report status, and may report or update the system to ensure areas are guest-ready. Provide assistance in housekeeping, laundry, and houseman departments, including coaching, staff development, process improvements, and work support. Assist in training new hires in the housekeeping, houseman, and laundry departments. Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and take corrective action. Respond to guest requests in a professional, timely, and friendly manner. Examine the building to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and make recommendations to management. Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide regular and reliable attendance. Required Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of experience in housekeeping in the hospitality industry. Supervisory experience preferred. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to talk or listen. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
