Manufacturing EngineerCTR Group is seeking experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers - Non-Conformance in the West Lafayette, IN area. Strongly prefer local candidates, but non-local candidates are welcome provided they can relocate themselves. Four contract positions for 3-6 months or longer. Long-term or direct-hire opportunity possible. Salary: $42 - $45 per hour, plus excellent benefits.Job DescriptionSummary: We are seeking four manufacturing engineers to join our engineering team. Responsibilities and tasks include:Review and disposition non-conforming conditions on primary parts, assemblies, and final product verifying disposition will meet blueprint requirementsAuthor process plans for non-compliant structure via non-conformance reports (NCRs) instigated by manufacturingReview and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsInvestigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and ensure that all solutions comply with engineering and regulatory standardsCollaborate with suppliers, quality engineers, and manufacturing personnel to address deviations and propose solutionsMonitor production processes to identify potential design or manufacturing risks and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency and product qualityRequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering. Prefer candidates with aerospace and/or non-conformance handling experience. Aerospace experience is a plus. We are open to anyone with 1 or more years of NCR experience, and preferably up to 5 years of manufacturing experience. Preferred software exp: Catia / 3Dx, Solumina, MS Suite, etc... Ability to assess and process product non-conformance requests (NCRs) as required by the ME function. Knowledge of MRB processes and non-conformance management. A general understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and measurement/inspection equipment. Aerospace experience preferred but other industry experience will be considered (i.e. automotive).
