Seven Healthcare are seeking a competent RN for Labor and Delivery in Corpus Christi who practices independently in a clinical setting. This travel assignment requires providing both routine and complex care in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing long-term patient goals and contingency management.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies, whether as Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders.
• Provide nursing care utilizing nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or care givers.

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Current certification required from AWHONN Intermediate FHM, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact
