Major Responsibilities Serves as a patient advocate to ensure that patients /customers needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Demonstrates compassion and dignity while performing mammograms. Provides education to all patients before, during and after exams. Maintains a positive relationship with all customers i.e. patients, other departments, physicians, students and fellow associates. Reviews patient satisfaction data and participates in improving areas of concern. Utilizes appropriate resources to resolve patient issues. Address and resolve customer complaints. Ensure on-time completion of your performance pathway. Sends out co-worker feedback forms 6 months before review to associates you and your leader have identified as able to provide valuable feedback. Submits self-evaluation to leader two weeks before review. Participates quarterly in the TNT associate satisfaction survey. Submits ideas each year for improving customer satisfaction. Quality Accountable for the production of quality mammograms. Demonstrates the appropriate operation of all mammography equipment including quality assurance tools i.e. dosimeter, screen contact tool, phantoms etc. Demonstrates safety in all areas, electrical, environmental, radiation etc. Ensures all appropriate information is present before radiographs are performed. Complete all data entries in the hospital and radiology information system. Participates in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators. Submits ideas for improving quality in your department. People Growth Assess own learning needs, seeks appropriate training and development. Sets own learning goals. Development of a learning plan and documenting your progress on a learning log. Maintains a program to complete required training hours per quarter. Innovation Submits Dynamite ideas to your leader. Participates in hospital-wide or departmental DIG each year. Implements Just-Do-It initiatives in your department during the year. Organizational Climate Participates in hospital-wide TNT-related activities. Participates in departmental recognition and socialization activities. Attends all departmental staff meetings. Productivity Participates in efforts to improve productivity in your department. Submits ideas for improving productivity in your department. Economics Ensures appropriate supplies are available, orders when needed. Participates in efforts to contain costs or generate revenue in your department. Submits ideas for reducing expenses or adding revenue. Education & Experience ARRT Registered. I.D.N.S. License (current). Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology School with experience in mammography. 3 years experience as a radiographer. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology School with experience in mammography. ARRT Registered. I.D.N.S. License (current). 3 years experience as a radiographer. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions May be exposed to radiation; hazardous materials & life threatening diseases. Ability to lift and/or move patients. Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
