Position Summary
The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic mammographic imaging procedures in Chicago, IL. The technologist positions patients, applies appropriate compression and exposure technique, and produces quality images for radiologist interpretation while maintaining radiation safety standards. Responsibilities include processing and transmitting images to PACS. This is a 13-week traveler assignment.

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic mammographic imaging procedures in Chicago, IL. The technologist positions patients, applies appropriate compression and exposure technique, and produces quality images for radiologist interpretation while maintaining radiation safety standards. Responsibilities include processing and transmitting images to PACS. This is a 13-week traveler assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures
- Position patients and apply appropriate compression and exposure technique to produce quality images
- Maintain radiation safety standards throughout all procedures
- Process and transmit images to PACS
- Mammographer licensed/credentialed by IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
- 8:00am - 6:30pm, 10-hour shifts (Days)
- No on-call requirement
- 13-week traveler assignment
