Job Description Work location TBD Works under general supervision and requires considerable knowledge of human resources functions and civil service laws, rules, policies and procedures to serve as the assistant to the FMLA Unit supervisor Responsible for performing two or more non-advanced human resources sub-programs Advises and assists employees in the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) application process Responsible for reviewing and processing all FMLA certifications, reapplications, and re-certifications Provides appropriate notifications and document all FMLA call-off Responsible for setting up leave cases and processes leave requests. Composes and processes personnel actions (ePAR) Assists with employee wellness programs (EAP referrals) Reviews and recommends changes to institutional policies and procedures for compliance with human resources rules and regulations. Job Skills: Human Resources Pre-Employment Drug Testing: All final applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments.
