The Spring is seeking a motivated and dependable Childcare Worker for approximately 15 hours per week.

The Spring is a faith-based service provider, shelter, and advocacy organization for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking

Overview We're seeking a compassionate, attentive Childcare Worker to support children in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role provides direct supervision, facilitates age‑appropriate activities, and uses trauma‑informed practices to promote emotional wellbeing and positive behavior.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children closely and maintain required staff‑to‑child ratios
• Engage children in supportive, age‑appropriate activities
• Use positive behavior management and trauma‑informed approaches
• Monitor safety, emotional wellbeing, and behavior throughout programming
• Maintain clean, organized childcare spaces and materials
• Respond calmly to behavioral challenges or crisis situations
• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies
• Document incidents, concerns, and injuries accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a childcare, educational, shelter, or program setting
• Availability for afternoons and evenings (up to 15 hrs/week)
• Experience with children of all ages, including adolescents, preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith

• Ability to stay calm and professional in fast‑paced or high‑stress situations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintains boundaries and confidentiality
