Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift - Plastics Plant

Job Summary:
New Tech Global is currently seeking a Night Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Pasadena, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair manufacturing and facility equipment
Communicate directly with production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities
Perform projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
Follow and support all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and spare parts

Skills & Qualifications:

Proficient with hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues on automated production equipment

Essential Physical Functions:

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending and stooping required
Ability to work in all weather conditions (non-climate controlled environment)
Good manual dexterity for working with small parts and tools
Regular use of tools and office equipment requiring coordination, speed, and concentration

Work Environment:

Non-climate controlled manufacturing facility
Occasional work near moving mechanical parts
Exposure to high noise levels
Required use of PPE including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and gloves

Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient
Dedicated to getting the job done

Preferred Education, Licenses & Certifications:

Welding
Forklift operation
Electrical experience
Crane operation
PLC knowledge
