Top-rated, boutique Manhattan law firm that specializes in advising and representing co-op and condominium boards throughout NYC is seeking a Sr. Landlord-Tenant Attorney to grow its practice. Role offers comprehensive medical benefits. PTO, reasonable billable hours, bonus opportunity, and the opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate will be a NY Barred Attorney with 7+ years of landlord-tenant experience . ** Must have experience representing co-ops and condos in NYC**
The attorney will be responsible for:
•Advocating for cooperative and condominium buildings in individual landlord-tenant matters.
•Managing cases from inception through resolution.
•Appearing in court throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
•Working directly with building boards and managing agents.
•Providing practical legal guidance that takes into account the building's operational needs.
•Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the firm's building clients.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum of 7 plus years of experience in NYC co-op, condo, and/or landlord-tenant law.
• Demonstrated success managing cases and mentoring jr. attorneys.
• Strong advocacy, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, communication and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of NYC housing laws, and Housing Court procedures.
