Pediatric Endocrinology - Locum Physician

Job Title: Pediatric Endocrinologist Location: Long Beach, California Schedule: 1 week per month, Mon-Fri 8a-5p, weeknight and weekend call Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $225 - $250/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Endocrinologist for a temporary assignment in Long Beach, California. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for an Endocrinologist:

• Provide Pediatric Endocrinology coverage one week per month, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Conduct half-day clinic sessions daily, with video visit options available
• Perform hospital rounding duties as part of weekly coverage
• Provide weeknight and weekend call coverage for ER, NICU, PICU, and inpatient hospitalists
• Manage insulin pump therapy for pediatric patients
• Oversee continuous glucose monitoring management
• Supervise infusion center operations, including stimulation testing and other endocrine diagnostic procedures
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Maintain active California medical license
• Maintain board certification or eligibility (board-eligible candidates within allowable timeframe to sit for boards are acceptable)
• Maintain a clean malpractice and background history
• Complete required non-billable computer modules (approximately 4 hours) prior to start
• Adhere to all credentialing, privileging, and compliance documentation requirements
• Comply with flu vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions considered)
