This contract opportunity focuses on working every Friday as a dedicated health room professional, offering essential nursing services and ensuring a safe, healthy environment for all learners.

What we’re seeking:

• Current Kansas RN or LPN/LVN license
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage health concerns for diverse age groups (K-12)
• Skilled in providing care for acute and chronic conditions, medication administration, and first aid
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to varied health needs throughout the day

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students in the assigned health room, addressing both urgent and routine health matters
• Assess, treat, and document student injuries, illnesses, and emergencies
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for reactions
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and guardians regarding student health plans and accommodations
• Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with state and district policies
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school environment
• Provide guidance on communicable disease prevention and state-mandated screenings
