As of 2017, FMC Fort Worth was again converted back to a Federal Medical Center.Location: 3150 Horton Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76119 Other locations may include (as assigned): Inpatient Lubbock unit, the SHU/Jail, Laboratory, Specialty Care Clinic POSITION OVERVIEW (duties may include, but are not limited to)Providing patient care to include taking and recording patient history, vital signs, making appointments, assisting staff clinicians in routine clinical activities.Drawing and processing blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes.Collecting and processing urinalysis and point of care tests in the lab.Operation of EKG machines and other special medical apparatus and equipment within the Health Services Department.Assisting staff clinicians and visiting, on-site, clinical specialty consultants in the management and coordination of patient flow through the Specialty Care Clinic, Ambulatory Clinic (including Jail Medical Clinic), Telemedicine Unit, Rehabilitation Services, and Mental Health Unit.Assisting primary providers in the urgent care areas during emergencies, as necessary.General patient care duties, including those required on the in-patient Nursing Care Center with Memory Care and Comfort Care/End of Life Programs.General administrative duties, including answering the phone, pulling, filing and copying medical records, requesting and scanning medical records, data collection/organization, and maintaining supplies/equipment in all patient care areas. Screening eye and auditory exams and assist advanced practice providers and physicians in minor surgical cases.Manage daily sick call log, track scheduled appointments, and assist in locating patients who fail to show up on time to appointments.
