ID: 63848713. Shift: Day 3x12‑Hour (07:00 – 19:30). Ratios 1:5–6. Float: Med/Surg Service line. Rotating shift includes every other weekend, 50% of holidays on contract, 1‑year experience required (but first‑time travelers welcome). BLS required. The adult overflow unit is a 10‑bed unit that services all admitting physician teams including Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Oncology. Diagnoses range from diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal disease, orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits. The unit will serve adults 16 + years to assist with hospital throughput. Charge duties may be required. Physical demands: ambulating, reaching, moving objects up to and over 20 lbs. Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. The position operates in a 24‑hour, 365‑day facility. Rotating shifts, holiday, and inclement weather work required. Essential Job Functions Work at client‑assigned location throughout the contract term. Work the substantial time of the assigned shift. Take call. Work assigned weekends. Work at least 50 % of holidays that occur during the contract. Unit Details Patient Age Groups: Adults 16 + years Daily Census: 10 Number of Beds: 10 Interdisciplinary Support: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy. Staffing & Scheduling Scheduling Type: Other Patient Ratios: Days – 5, Nights – 5, Weekends – 5 (overall ratio 1:5–6). Float Required: Med/surg service line. Call Required: None specified. Weekend Coverage: True. Number of weekend shifts per contract: 4 (every other weekend). Pre‑Approved Time Off: One day. Orientation Hours: 12 Guaranteed Hours: 13‑week contract = 9 1/2 days (91 hours). Facility & Patient Care Details The unit will occupy adult 16 + year medical‑surgical patients to assist hospital throughput. Charge duties on the floor may be required. Special procedures/equipment: General floor care procedures (IV therapy, labs, nasogastric tubes, wound care, assisting physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation). No special equipment specific to the unit. Modules: Non‑billable, average 4‑6 hours, completed during orientation and annually. Procedural compliance dates: Compliance deadline is Wednesday 2 PST prior to start. RTO max 10 days. Travel Compliance Tier 3 travel compliance: email, phone, SSN, DOB required, 2‑year experience required. Re‑orientation not required if returning within 18 months. Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13‑week contracts (9 months).
