Description The Shop Operations Manager supports the Service Manager in coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work for Mid Ag, Small Tractor, Turf and Utility, and Compact Construction Equipment. Provides input on skill development and training needs for the technicians. Provides input on skill development and training needs for the technicians. Responsibilities Monitors Service Department metrics monthly to ensure achievement of department goals Provides performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager Oversees and directs the shop technicians in scheduling work and performance Directs and assists technicians in the diagnosis of Mid Ag, Small Tractor, Turf and Utility, and Compact Construction Equipment Assists in the quoting of repair orders coming into the Service Department and reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order May approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintains control until closed and invoiced Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department Attends schooling and seminars as directed by management Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and/or turf equipment Charges out at least 50% of their labor May participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs Supports customer clinics May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment, ensuring all are in good working order Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Service Department operations Proficient in using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet-based tools Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both individuals and groups Knowledgeable about John Deere products and competitive brands Basic understanding of financial principles related to Service Department operations Skilled in analyzing and interpreting internal reports Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed Excellent customer service abilities, with a focus on meeting client needs Associate degree or equivalent work experience Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour Benefits: We offer a competitive wage and benefit package including health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance along with paid time off, 401(k), cell phone allowance, safety item reimbursements, AHW branded clothing, and training. #J-18808-Ljbffr AHW LLC
