Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Material Coordinator / Material Handler to support manufacturing and assembly operations. This position is responsible for kitting, picking, issuing, delivering, and returning materials while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Pick, kit, issue, and deliver materials to production and assembly work centers.
• Review pick lists, MBOMs, and Bills of Process to determine material requirements.
• Process incoming materials and organize components into production kits.
• Process material returns and accurately return components to inventory.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, and incorrect quantities.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and material records.
• Perform inventory moves, container management, and material transactions in Plex.
• Create and print material and inventory labels.
• Support multiple production work centers and same-day material requests.
• Work with production, engineering, and materials teams to resolve material issues.
• Maintain an organized and safe material handling area.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling, inventory, kitting, picking, or issuing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP inventory systems; Plex experience strongly preferred .
• Experience resolving inventory or material discrepancies.
• Ability to work from pick lists, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Plex ERP, Plex Mobile, or Plex IAM experience.
• Teamcenter or Bill of Process experience.
• Previous inventory management experience.
• Crane operation or certification.
• Experience in prototype, automotive, defense, or complex manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to transport parts and materials throughout a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment.
