Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 16-week contract position.

Shifts available are 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics, in a critical access environment. This role requires strong clinical skills in emergency management, triage, and patient assessment, ensuring optimal outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform ESI triage, IV insertion, and management of drips and infusions.
• Conduct EKGs, apply restraints, and manage procedural sedation.
• Transport patients via ambulance as needed, including STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma cases.
• Utilize Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations for patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and mid-level providers.
• Assist with general surgery services as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the Emergency Department required.
• Charge experience is preferred, with an ability to support and precept new nurses.
• Previous travel contract experience required.
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
