Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting middle school students near Denver, Colorado. Two full-time positions are available, with assignments based either at Northglenn Middle School or Rocky Top Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

One opening focuses on full-time Learning Services for Northglenn Middle School, working with a mild-moderate caseload from September 23 through November 11. The other role at Rocky Top Middle School combines teaching as an SSN (Significant Support Needs) Teacher and a Learning Specialist, with flexible options to fill either a .5 FTE SSN position or a full-time Learning Specialist role as soon as possible through Winter Break (with a potential extension).

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License, Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21) required
• Recent experience in special education, ideally with middle school students
• Ability to manage a variety of student needs, including mild-moderate and significant cognitive or communicative disabilities
• Availability for onsite work at assigned campuses
• Familiarity with Colorado credentialing, including timely fingerprint submission for background checks
• Strong references uploaded prior to interview submission

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction and support tailored to individual student needs
• Manage and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with general education staff, service providers, and families
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Participate in eligibility, staffing, and IEP meetings as needed
