Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts (day/evening), every other weekend | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as part of a float pool
• Float between Med-Surg Telemetry units, PCU, ICU, and ED as needed to care for med-surg boarders
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients across assigned units
• Adapt clinical practice to meet the varying acuity levels and patient populations of each unit
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts (or compact equivalent accepted per state guidelines)
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong telemetry skills required due to multi-unit float responsibilities
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have been separated from BILH-affiliated employment for at least 6 months to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
• Experience in PCU or ICU settings in addition to Med-Surg Telemetry
• Comfort working with higher-acuity patient populations including ED boarders
