Role - Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant to join a growing outpatient cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories, physical examinations, and risk evaluations.
• Manage patients with conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, and laboratory results.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Prescribe medications and adjust therapies based on evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging departments, and ancillary services.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Active New York Nurse Practitioner license.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology NP experience .
• Board Certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
