Job Title: Manufacturing Associate II Job Description

The Manufacturing Associate II works in a cleanroom environment on a high-volume production line to assemble, inspect, and package continuous glucose monitoring systems. This role focuses on precise manual assembly, strict adherence to procedures, and consistent line performance to ensure high-quality medical devices reach healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cleanroom within the transmitter department to support high-volume production activities.
• Assemble and build continuous glucose monitoring systems (G6 Pro) using a highly manual, step-by-step process.
• Manually pair and attach applicators to transmitter components with precision and consistency.
• Package finished products accurately and securely for shipment to hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
• Inspect products at each stage of the process to identify and remove defective or nonconforming items.
• Learn and perform each portion of the production line to support flexibility and coverage across operations.
• Perform line clearances electronically and accurately enter production and quality data into the Camstar application.
• Maintain the required pace of the production line while performing repetitive tasks with consistent quality.
• Follow established SOP, GMP, and GDP requirements to ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality standards.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and strong tenure to support stable and continuous production.

Essential Skills

• 2–4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production, assembly, and manufacturing processes in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment while wearing full personal protective equipment.
• Comfortable following SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Strong attention to detail when assembling, inspecting, and packaging products.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Reliable attendance and consistent work history supporting production schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on a production line in a regulated or medical device environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic data entry and manufacturing execution systems such as Camstar is an advantage.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced setting with close proximity to other team members.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, including starting shifts up to two hours early when needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom environment on a manufacturing floor and requires wearing a full cleanroom suit, including mask, goggles, gloves, hair net, shoe covers, full bunny suit, and head cover, all provided by the employer. The work takes place on a production line in a loud, fast-paced setting where side conversations are discouraged to maintain focus and safety. The cleanroom and manufacturing floor are temperature-controlled and kept cold, and employees must comply with strict dress and grooming standards: no makeup, jewelry, piercings, fake nails, or nail polish are allowed on the manufacturing floor. Work involves highly repetitive tasks in close proximity to other employees, with an emphasis on maintaining line pace and product quality. Overtime is not mandatory but is preferred, with typical overtime occurring up to two hours before the regular shift.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
