Research in the division focuses on fundamental mechanisms of tumor biology with strengths in cell signaling, metabolism, gene regulation and the tumor microenvironment. The division is committed to advancing discoveries from basic cancer biology toward clinical impact. Appointees are expected to establish and maintain an innovative, externally funded research program that complements and extends the division's existing areas of excellence while contributing to its interdisciplinary mission. Successful candidates will receive competitive start-up support, dedicated laboratory space, and access to outstanding shared resources to enable rapid program growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Two full-time open rank tenure-track faculty positions are available in the Division of Cancer Biology () at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The division is expanding and seeking applications from emerging or established leaders in cancer research. The rank of the appointments (Assistant/Associate/Professor) is open and will be commensurate with the professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.

The candidate(s) will join a robust research-focused division comprised of well-funded and highly collaborative faculty. Faculty laboratories are housed in the architecturally renowned Vontz Center for Molecular Studies, an interdisciplinary research hub that brings together investigators from Cancer Biology, Radiation Oncology, and the Division of Hematology/Oncology, as well as the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate Program (). Faculty benefit from extensive opportunities for collaboration across the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, the top-ranked Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Cincinnati VA Medical Center unparalleled intellectual environment that is well-supported institutionally by a comprehensive portfolio of core facilities and ample opportunities for intramural funding. Essential Functions:

• Lead a research group in mechanistic investigation of fundamental questions in cancer biology and/or application of innovative technologies to produce new cancer biology discoveries.
• Other faculty responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree.
• Three years of postdoctoral experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered:

• Track record demonstrating impactful publications in cancer-relevant research.
• Track record of grant funding, as appropriate for career stage.

Compensation and Benefits:
A competitive salary together with substantial start-up funding commensurate with the candidate's experience will be provided.
