Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist in the Denver area, supporting students from early childhood through high school. Two full-time onsite assignments are available, each spanning two school locations, with placements determined on a first-come, first-serve basis. The contract runs immediately through late May 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule at 37.5 hours per week.

Your expertise will be essential in providing direct services to special education students, including group and individual counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals. You'll create and implement evidence-based interventions targeting academic, behavioral, and emotional needs, support classroom mental health initiatives, and maintain thorough progress documentation and communications with school teams and outside providers. Crisis management responsibilities include conducting suicide and threat risk assessments, participating in safety planning, offering crisis counseling, and ensuring the welfare of all students.

Integral to your work will be comprehensive IEP assessments, school observations, functional behavioral assessments, and development of impactful IEP goals. Your collaboration will extend across families, school teams, administrators, and outside agencies, ensuring holistic student support. Regular participation in professional development, team meetings, and school staff sessions is expected to stay current in best practices and foster school community connection.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum three years of direct school-based psychologist experience
• Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
• Valid CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement, with clearance for district background check and fingerprints
• Strong student assessment and intervention planning skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to support diverse populations
• Excellent crisis management, critical thinking, and technology skills
