Step into a rewarding contract opportunity in a setting dedicated to empowering students in grades 6-12 who require intensive behavioral and social-emotional support. You’ll partner with a collaborative team at a specialized academy designed for learners whose unique needs haven’t been met in traditional school settings. This position is on-site, providing essential mental health and behavioral services, with a caseload currently at 23 students and growing to up to 30.
Key Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience supporting students with severe behavioral and emotional needs, preferably in middle or high school, day treatment, or facility settings.
- Deep understanding of IEP processes, including assessments, meetings, and report development.
- Ready and qualified to meet district requirements for background checks and fingerprinting.
- Available for a full-time contract (37.5 hours/week) through late May.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct mental health interventions and support aligned with students’ IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and program staff to address social-emotional and behavioral goals.
- Complete comprehensive IEP duties: conducting evaluations, participating in meetings, and developing student plans.
- Provide ongoing consultation and guidance to staff working within this specialized educational program.
This is a stimulating environment where your skills and empathy will make a profound impact in students’ lives, working alongside professionals who share your commitment to transformative education. The contract begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of May.
