Developmental Disability Care Specialist

Duties : Agency and DBHDD requirements based on Job Description Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's or dementia care, or autism is a strong asset. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care practices is essential. Experience using Electronic/Web base systems for documentation and caseload management enhances your ability to deliver seamless support. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in hospice care or social work are advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and the use of mobility aids; comfort with long periods of standing or walking.
