Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nursing Specialty located in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality maternity care within a Level IV maternity center that handles both routine and high-risk obstetric patients. The position requires working night shifts, with a flexible schedule including weekend availability, and involves float responsibilities to Mother/Baby units and NICU feeder growers as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Stable certification, Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) scrub training.
• Unit Information: 21 beds, 4 recovery rooms, 3 Operating Room suites, and 4 bed Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED). Staffing includes approximately 80 staff members with a mix of RNs, OB technicians, and unit secretaries.
• Typical Procedures: Labor, delivery, and recovery of patients; circulating in Operating Room; caring for high-risk antepartum patients; triage and assessment of pregnant patients at all stages.
• Skills & Attributes: Team player mentality, flexibility, positive attitude, ability to work on Mother/Baby and float as needed.
• Additional Information: The facility is equipped with GE fetal monitors, Acumen, JADA, EMR Meditec, and CPN. Candidates must be able to work on Mother/Baby units, with occasional float to NICU.
