We are seeking a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney with prior litigation experience who is motivated to grow professionally while playing a meaningful role in a high-performing, growth-oriented practice. This position offers significant courtroom exposure, early responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony matters in Texas courts 
• Manage a full caseload from intake through resolution, including trial preparation 
• Analyze cases strategically and execute effective defense plans 
• Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda with precision and efficiency 
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials 
• Negotiate with prosecutors and manage case progression effectively 
• Maintain organized case files and ensure timely movement of matters 
• Contribute to overall firm efficiency through strong case management practices 
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support workflow and operational goals 

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school 
• Licensed and in good standing in Texas (additional jurisdictions a plus) 
• 1–3 years of criminal defense, prosecution, or comparable litigation experience required
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and a high level of accountability 
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload with efficiency and attention to detail 
• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence 
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills 
• Professional judgment and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment 
• Interest in contributing to a growing, performance-driven practice 
• Fluency in Spanish very desirable

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday 
• Availability for occasional after-hours consultations
