Job Description:

The position is for a Travel RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located at HCA HealthONE Swedish in Englewood, Colorado. The role involves working in a high acuity progressive/intermediate care unit specializing in cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide post-cath care including right and left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, watchmans, pacemaker implantations, TR band management, and neurovascular checks.
• Manage post-thoracic surgery patients including VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies, and chest tube management.
• Deliver pre and post care of open-heart surgical patients such as CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, and Aortic Dissection repairs.
• Administer vascular surgery post-op care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Preferred skills include chest tube and pacer wire management, performing 12 lead EKGs, and various drip administrations, including but not limited to heparin, diltiazem, and amiodarone.
