Start Date: 09/08/2026

End Date: 12/05/2026

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)

Hours/Week: Flexible, includes weekends and some call shifts

Employment Type: Contract

Licensure/Certifications: LA State Licensure, BLS, NRP required; ACLS and PALS preferred

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in respiratory therapy, high-risk delivery support preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $70.35/hour

What You'll Do

  • Provide advanced respiratory care across multiple treatment areas, including ICU, ED, Med/Tele, NICU, and PICU
  • Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal critical care, including neonatal intubation and ventilation
  • Manage airway support, ventilators, ABG analysis, and inhaled medication administration
  • Operate advanced respiratory equipment such as Servo U, Trilogy, Vapotherm, and NICU oscillators
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Respond to emergency codes and rapid response situations confidently
  • Document all care accurately within Meditech Expanse system

What You Need

Required:
  • LA State Licensure
  • BLS and NRP certifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in respiratory therapy
  • Proficiency in airway management, ventilator operation, and neonatal resuscitation
  • Valid driver's license for campus floating
Preferred:
  • ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Experience with NICU/PICU support and high-risk deliveries
  • CRT or RRT credential through NBRC
  • Experience with ECMO support (not a requirement for travelers)
