Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (7 PM – 7 AM)
Hours/Week: 36/48-hour rotations with every other weekend off
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Licenses/Certs: LA State Licensure, BLS, NRP (required); ACLS and PALS (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2+ years, high-risk delivery and NICU/PICU support experience required

What You'll Do
Provide respiratory care support across multiple campuses including ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and High-Risk L&D units
Attend high-risk deliveries, including neonatal intubation and neonatal airway management
Manage ventilators, perform ABG analysis, and administer inhaled medications, including nitric oxide
Support NICU/PICU and adult patients with complex respiratory needs
Participate in rapid response and code blue situations
Support equipment operation including Servo, Trilogy, Vapotherm, Neopuff, and more
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
What You Need
Required:
LA State Licensure
BLS and NRP certifications (others preferred)
Minimum 2 years of RT experience supporting high-risk deliveries and NICU/PICU patients
Strong airway, ventilator management, and neonatal support skills
Preferred:
ACLS and PALS certifications
Experience with Neonatal and Pediatric ICU care
CRT or Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials
About the Assignment This assignment is with a leading hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, supporting multiple treatment areas including ED, ICU, NICU, and high-risk obstetric units. RTs will float between four campuses, providing essential respiratory support for diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. You will work a 36/48-hour schedule with flexible start times, ensuring a balanced work-life experience while delivering critical care in a fast-paced environment.
