Loan Servicing Specialist II

Job Title

Under limited supervision, perform a variety of routine to moderate clerical duties. Research and analyze boarding data and maintenance transactions for completeness and consistency with the signed Note or Change In Terms documents. Review and perform all maintenance to all credit facilities on the loan and/or lease system. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of routine to moderate commercial loan/lease transactions with customer visibility, requiring attention to detail. Employees in this classification interact with internal and/or external customers, handling routine to moderate customer inquiries and requests.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.

2. Board all loan, leases, commitments, SWAPs, mortgage pools, letters of credit, participations/syndications, SBA loans, FAS91 cost and fee deferrals and collateral

3. Board all maintenance transactions.

4. Fund all loans, except those requiring funding via Wire transfer or Official Check

5. Process next-day callback

6. Process and maintain charge-off and recovery transactions associated with Lease Complete

7. Maintain all required reports.

8. Prepare and respond to requests for payoff

9. Process research requests, as received

10. Respond to customer inquiries

11. Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED; and a minimum 3 years loan servicing experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze and interpret loan system reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to department management, credit administrators and relationship managers.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)

Proficient in the use of mainframe loan systems, preferably FISERV

Proficient in the use of PC based loan systems, preferably Lease Complete

Other Skills And Abilities

Familiar with standard U.S. commercial, consumer and real estate lending policies

Familiar with standard U.S. note department workflow

Knowledge of U.S. federal and California state banking laws and regulations related to banking

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.08 Hourly

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
