Digital Product OwnerLocation - Washington, DC Mode - OnsiteTactical ResponsibilitiesDetailed Requirements Engineering: Take raw, loose, or sketched-out concepts from leadership and "roll up your sleeves" to write exhaustive user stories, complex user workflows, and precise acceptance criteria.Design-to-Engineering Translation: Partner closely with design teams to own the translation of proprietary web/mobile UI/UX mockups into functional engineering backlogs.Backlog "Heavy Lifting": Autonomously manage the day-to-day grooming and prioritization of the Jira backlog. Ensure every story is "Ready" for development with zero ambiguity.Workflow & Transaction Optimization: Dive deep into the technicalities of real-time scheduling logic, labor rules, and large-scale transaction processing to map out seamless user journeys.Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary, day-to-day point of contact for the engineering team to clarify edge cases in requirements and validate that the built features meet the "Definition of Done."Agile/SAFe Participation: Support Sprint ceremonies and PI Planning by providing the detailed data and documentation needed to estimate effort, track velocity, and maintain a clear engineering runway.QualificationsExperience: 3–5+ years of experience as a digital Product Owner in an Agile environment. We are looking for a product purist who excels at the execution side of product ownership.Proven Custom Build Portfolio: A track record of successfully shipping scaled, proprietary web or mobile application builds where you owned the translation of design mockups into development-ready requirements.UI/UX Obsession: Deep experience optimizing highly complex user workflows, front-end usability, and large-scale transaction processing.Domain Flexibility (Cross-Industry Talent Welcome): While transportation experience is a plus, it is not mandatory.
