Digital Product Owner – Custom Applications (Logistics / Workforce)Location: Washington, DC (Onsite) Position Type: Contract (W2 upon Offer) Duration: 08/17/2026 – 07/30/2027Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to lead the execution of a large-scale, enterprise digital transformation initiative focused on building next-generation Labor Management and Workforce Operations applications. This role is ideal for a highly tactical Product Owner who excels at transforming high-level business concepts into detailed product requirements, user stories, and development-ready backlogs. Working closely with Product Leadership, UX/UI Designers, Architects, and Agile Engineering teams, you will own backlog management, requirements refinement, workflow optimization, and feature delivery for a modern custom web and mobile application supporting real-time logistics, workforce scheduling, and operational decision-making. This position requires a strong background in Agile Product Ownership, Jira, UI/UX collaboration, custom application development, and complex business workflow management. Experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Workforce Management, E-Commerce, or other high-volume transaction environments is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership & Requirements ManagementBacklog Management & Agile DeliveryUI/UX CollaborationWorkflow & Business Process OptimizationEngineering CollaborationStakeholder EngagementRequired Skills & Experience3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Digital Product professional within Agile environments.Proven experience delivering custom web and mobile applications from concept through production.Strong experience writing: User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Functional Requirements, Epics, Features, Business Rules.Expertise managing Agile product backlogs using Jira and Confluence.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI teams and translating design artifacts into development-ready requirements.Knowledge of Workflow Management, Process Mapping, User Journey Mapping, Transaction Processing Systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting: Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Workforce Management, Labor Management, High-Volume Transaction Processing, E-Commerce Platforms.Familiarity with real-time scheduling and workforce optimization systems.Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).Understanding of modern digital product development methodologies.Exposure to enterprise application modernization initiatives.Experience working with distributed Agile teams.EducationBachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
