Quick Facts Location: Paducah, KY Start Date: 12/24/2026 End Date: Negotiable, with open availability 12/24-12/28 or 12/28-1/4 Shift: 24 hours, 7a 7a Hours/Week: 40-56 hours (approximately 4-7 shifts per month) Employment Type: Locum License/Certifications: State medical license, Board Certification in Surgery preferred Experience: Cardiac surgery experience required, thoracic surgery preferred Pay & Benefits Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with relevant laws Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do Perform adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve repair/replacement Conduct general thoracic surgeries, including VATS decortication and lung biopsies Manage ICU care for high-risk patients, including Impella procedures and medical stabilization Support structural heart procedures in hybrid and cath lab environments Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document procedures efficiently using EPIC EMR system Participate in a team-focused environment, supporting the hospital s cardiac care units What You Need Required Active medical license in Kentucky or ability to obtain Significant experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery Skills in ICU management of critically ill patients Ability to perform complex procedures such as CABG, valve surgeries, and thoracic interventions Preferred Board certification in surgery or cardiothoracic surgery Experience with hybrid OR procedures and advanced hemodynamic support About the Assignment This opportunity involves providing expert cardiac surgical care at a well-equipped hospital in Paducah, KY.
