This full-service acute care facility offers a broad range of medical and surgical services to patients in the Paducah, Kentucky region. The facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support quality patient-centered care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

Paducah, Kentucky offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural, recreational, and dining destinations. The area is home to the National Quilt Museum, the River Discovery Center Inland Waterways Museum, and the Floodwall Murals, as well as the LowerTown Arts District, the Yeiser Art Center, and multiple galleries. Outdoor enthusiasts may explore the Greenway Trail, which includes a 2.5-mile run open to all skill levels, as well as Bob Noble Park and active venues such as Atomic City Family Fun Center and Vertical Jump Park, with additional dining and entertainment options available throughout the city.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide inpatient coverage on a 24-hour shift and 24-hour call basis at an on-site facility in Paducah, Kentucky, across the assigned coverage dates. Clinical responsibilities include adult cardiac surgery, CABG using internal mammary arteries and radial artery conduits including redo cases, heart valve repair and replacement, and general thoracic procedures such as tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication, lung biopsy, and pericardial window. The clinician will also manage ICU care for high-acuity cases including Impella insertion, removal, and bailout, as well as medical management of critically ill patients. Structural heart procedure support in the hybrid OR and cath lab is a required component of this assignment.
