Location: Lancaster, OH

Schedule:

• 7 days on / 7 days off - Night shift

• Work week runs from Thursday night through Thursday morning

• On-week hours: 8:00 PM 7:30 AM

• Sole Pharmacist in the hospital from 11:30 PM 6:00 AM

• CPhT support available throughout the night

• Guaranteed 36 hours/week

Compensation:

• Base rate: $55/hour

• Weekly Travel Stipends (if applicable): $1,226

• Estimated Weekly Gross: $3,226

• $750 round-trip travel allowance

Type of Contract: Travel Contract - 13 weeks

Job Description: We are seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting in Lancaster, Ohio. This 7-on/7-off overnight position offers consistent scheduling and the opportunity to work as the sole Pharmacist in the hospital during overnight hours, with CPhT support throughout the night. The Pharmacist will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating medication therapy, ensuring the quality and appropriateness of medication use, dispensing medications, providing drug information, and supporting patient care and medical emergencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited college of pharmacy

• Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy

• Hospital pharmacy experience

• One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with coworkers, healthcare providers, patients, families, and the general public

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, communication, and time-management skills

Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, process, validate, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions

• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness

• Evaluate medication regimens based on the individual patient's age and clinical needs

• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and pharmacy records in accordance with applicable regulations and standards

• Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers

• Participate in medication management during medical emergencies, including responding to emergency calls and assisting with medication preparation and drug information

• Ensure adequate medication supplies during medical emergencies

• Coordinate day-to-day pharmacy technician activities to meet patient, organizational, and departmental needs
