About the Position IMCO is looking for qualified intern candidates seeking to gain professional experience in Heavy Civil Construction. Intern positions may include office or field engineering, preconstruction, and estimating on various projects. Interns at IMCO assist and support project teams and/or department supervisors by performing routine daily administrative and project‑related activities, gathering information, and assisting in coordinating and completing tasks. In general, the intern will get hands‑on experience in the field and office learning how to manage and construct exciting projects. We seek a highly motivated individual who works well with others, has strong attention to detail, and has great communication skills. Primary Responsibilities Working with a vibrant and diverse team to build, estimate, and deliver complex projects successfully. Support administrative and construction activities as assigned by the supervisor such as; reviewing proposals/specifications and drawings, performing material takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates. Learn how to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors. Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials, and other duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits $25 an hour - Relocation is not offered Phone stipend Gas card for company‑related use Location & commitments Location – Washington, Oregon, or Idaho 2026 internship timeframes are flexible, based on the student's school schedule 8-hour shifts Overtimemay be available Evening/weekend work may be necessary on occasion Requirements and Qualifications Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or HSE, related program, or a recent college graduate. Or 2+ years of field construction experience with a general knowledge of project management.
