In this role, you will file surplus line taxes, reconcile transactions, and assist producers and account managers with tax rates, affidavits, and state filings. RESPONSIBILITIES: FilingSurplus line taxesand review of client balances over45 daysare a conglomerate of legal, accounting, and public relations knowledge Reconciliation of Surplus Lines Tax Transactions Knowledge of required documents needed for filing and client records Work with diverse personalities and build relationships with Producers, Account Managers, State Insurance Regulators, Stamping Offices AssistProducers and Account Managers -Tax rates, Affidavits, Home State designation Submit required documents to states tofacilitatetimelyfilings Assistin the development and maintenance of surplus lines processes andprocedures Assistin reading and interpreting state surplus linesrelated toadministrative code Assistin review of debits and credits over45 days QUALIFICATIONS: Two years’ work experience in the insurance industry-preferable High School diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred Prefer experience with Applied Systems (EPIC) Soft skills (i.e.problem solver, team player, proactive, entrepreneurial) Strong desireto learn and foster a community of compliance Knowledge of methods of compiling,organizingand analyzing data Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations,policies,and procedures Ability to plan, organize andcoordinatework activities independently Excellent communication, interpersonalskillsand positive attitude Verystrongdetail skills Department Accounting & Finance Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience Required Travel: Negligible Required Education: High school or equivalent HUB International Limited is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race/ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran’s status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state or federal laws, rules or regulations.
