Financial Analyst - Benson

Job Summary This job, under moderate supervision, provides analysis to the particular area of the business it supports. It analyzes and reports on monthly financial statements, maintains databases and other sources of information, supports strategic projects leveraging financial and analytic capabilities, assists in the budget process, and responds to ad‑hoc reporting requests and questions from users of the financial reports. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related area. Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or another advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Work Experience Preferred: Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Experience with FinThrive Contract Manager and FinThrive Modeler (preferred). Experience supporting healthcare contract modeling, rate analysis, or payer reimbursement modeling. Ability to interpret contract terms and translate them into accurate financial models. Certifications Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active pursuit of CPA certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficient computer skills for data entry and retrieval with Windows-based applications and office software. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varied audiences. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Good judgment and decision‑making skills. Job Duties Updates and maintains financial information. Provides reporting and analytics to ensure operational profitability. Identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement. Participates in the formation of the budget. Participates in quality assurance activities. Participates in activities for professional development. Participates in special projects involving financial analysis. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium work: occasionally exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force, frequently 10 to 25 pounds, and at times greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demands include walking, standing, and light to moderate lifting. Mechanical lifting devices or team lifts should be utilized. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, sit for prolonged periods, travel within and between facilities, and work a flexible schedule. No exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue. No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases is anticipated, but there may be a risk of exposure to hazardous medications or waste in certain duties.
