Job Description

Take a leadership role in psychiatric nursing as an Off-Shift House Nurse Supervisor, providing essential support for behavioral health units during overnight hours. This contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Schedule:

• 10:45pm 7:15am
• Five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
• Every other weekend required: Friday 11pm-7am and Saturday 11pm-7am

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• At least 2 years of nursing experience; psychiatric nursing preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise nursing staff
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Prior experience with behavioral health populations highly desirable
• Current BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the direct supervisor for all nursing staff during overnight shifts, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to protocols
• Act as the primary resource for staff, patients, and families for clinical decisions or escalations
• Support crisis intervention efforts and coordinate care for patients with acute psychiatric needs
• Facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during off-shift hours
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring staffing levels and responding to urgent issues in real time
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance in high-pressure situations
