This contract position is located near Victorville, CA, and offers the chance to impact students’ lives while working in a dynamic and supportive educational setting.
As a key figure in your classroom, you will engage high school or adult learners in the world of metal-joining trades, fabrication, and shop safety. Your instruction will help them gain practical welding skills, prepare for industry certifications, and open doors to future careers in building trades or manufacturing fields.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid California teaching credentials (CTC and CTE License) required
- Experience teaching in a general education or vocational setting preferred
- Strong background in welding, fabrication, or related trades
- Passion for career technical education and student success
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging curriculum in welding technology and fabrication for up to 35 hours per week
- Develop interactive lessons and projects that prepare students for industry certifications
- Instruct on equipment operation, metal shop procedures, and workplace safety standards
- Provide guidance on career pathways in building trades and manufacturing
- Track student progress and maintain detailed records
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities
