This contract opportunity is located near Victorville, CA and offers you the chance to empower high school or adult learners with hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and shop safety. By guiding students toward industry certifications and equipping them for successful careers in manufacturing or building trades, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping tomorrow's workforce.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California teaching credentials (CTC and CTE License required)
- Experience or background in general education, vocational teaching, or metal-joining trades
- Strong communication skills with a passion for student development
- Ability to deliver engaging instruction in a technical shop setting
- Commitment to fostering a safe and productive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in welding, fabrication, and shop safety fundamentals
- Prepare curriculum aligned with industry standards and certification requirements
- Supervise hands-on training in a well-equipped workshop
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support growth
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance CTE program offerings
